To send pages 4–6 of a long report, select those thumbnails in Preview and save the selection as a new PDF. Keep the original and verify the extracted copy before sharing.

Save the selected pages

Open the PDF in Preview and choose View > Thumbnails. Select pages 4, 5, and 6, then choose File > Print. In Pages, choose the selected pages from the sidebar; from the PDF menu, choose Save as PDF. Name it "report-p4-6.pdf" so it is easy to distinguish from the source. Macworld documents this print-dialog route.

Check the file you will send

Reopen the saved PDF. Confirm it has three pages and starts and ends with the intended pages. For a contract, inspect the contents too: a selection error could include a signature, account number, or unrelated attachment. Page count alone does not prove that the file is safe to share.

If the selection is missing

Print-sheet wording can vary by macOS version. Return to the thumbnail sidebar, select the pages again, and check the print preview. You can also drag selected thumbnails to Finder for a quick extract. If page order must change, see the Preview page assembly guide. Apple documents Preview page controls in its PDF page guide; Macworld explains the selected-pages print workflow.
