What it does and does not cover
Consent-O-Matic looks for consent-management pop-ups it recognizes and applies the preferences you configured. It does not handle every banner or wording. Consent choices can matter differently by account and context, so an automated click is not proof of your intent or legal compliance.
Follow preferences through to the result
In Safari, open Settings > Extensions, turn on Consent-O-Matic, and review its website access. Set your purpose-specific preferences during setup, then visit a site and look for the completion checkmark beside the extension icon. It signals that a recognized banner was processed; it does not guarantee that all ads or tracking are blocked or that the choice is legally sufficient. Open the site’s privacy controls to review each purpose. If the result differs from your intent or cannot be confirmed, turn the extension off for that site and choose manually.
“Let us know!” in the extension menu is a separate, optional report for a site that did not work. Submitting it sends that site’s URL to the Aarhus University server, so choose it only when you want to send the report.
Keep the user in control
The project notes that some pop-ups are not yet handled. For important services, read the purpose-specific options yourself; turn the extension off or change its site permission if the automation does not match your preference. This is based on documentation, not a test of live banners.
